Torres Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, May 3rd, 2024 The Terrapins 20-year-old right fielder Armando Torres has been on a tear for several weeks and his hitting streak is getting longer. The streak is now at 20 games after he went 2-for-4 as Maryland got the best of Oregon State 6-4 today at Shipley Field. Armando Torres grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. So far this season Torres is batting .407 with 2 home runs. |
