Kerr Goes 5-for-5 Against Texas Christian
Monday, April 22nd, 2024
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching again," said David Kerr after his 5-hit performanace against the Horned Frogs. "No offense meant to Texas Christian, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Lupton Stadium. I'm just not too happy that we lost 13-12." The Pittsburgh second baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "David worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Kerr said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it. It sure did work today." David Kerr singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Juan Vigil in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and w
alked in the 9th.

So far on the season Kerr is hitting .373 with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 28 hits and played in 20 games.
