Sánchez's Career May Be Over
Friday, April 12th, 2024
Rutgers center fielder Joe Sánchez got some very bad news today. He has been diagnosed with a severe injury, and his career with the Scarlet Knights is over. The 19-year-old Sánchez sustained the injury at Baum Stadium in yesterday's game against the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was injured making a defensive play and suffered a torn labrum. The Rutgers GM told the press, "We are disappointed Joe will no longer have the opportunity to play baseball for us, but he will always be a member of the Scarlet Knights family. Our thoughts and prayers are with him during this difficult time."

This season Sánchez is batting at a .243 clip with 1 home run and 4 RBIs.
