Hits Galore: Hyde Drills 5 Hits Sunday, April 7th, 2024 There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Chris Hyde of the Oregon Ducks had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 17-2 win over the California Golden Bears at PK Park. The 20-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Chris Hyde hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Colton Elías in the 8th. |
