Sherman Rips Notre Dame for 6 Hits Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Brant Sherman -- a 6-hit day. He went on a rampage at Medlar Field and paced the Nittany Lions to a 3-2 win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. After his dynamite batting performance the Penn State center fielder told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Brant Sherman singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th. Sherman is currently hitting at a .371 pace with 6 home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 11 times. |
