Moore on Fire: Burns Kansas with 3 HR Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 Alan Moore went on a hitting rampage at Russ Chandler Stadium today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Yellow Jackets to a 14-13 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks. The Georgia Tech first baseman collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 4 runs. After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." Alan Moore singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Helms in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off William Houston in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Arturo Rodríguez in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Moore is currently batting .300 with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs. |
