Saskatoon Reliever Hurt
Wednesday, August 14th, 2024
Watching Bernie Titus getting helped off the field today at Berry Field, fans of the Saskatoon Smokin' Guns feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 10-11 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Titus suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Tacos.
On the season Titus has delivered 2 saves in 17 relief appearances. He has 135 strikeouts in 119.2 innings with a 2.41 ERA and a 4-5 mark.
