Bad News for Surrey, José López Hurt
Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now José López of the Sinners knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Chula Vista Tacos while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn labrum, the Surrey starting pitcher is expected to miss 4 months. López was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
This year López has recorded a 2-2 mark. In 11 starts he has fanned 78 batters in 67 innings with a 6.85 ERA.
