Ron Edwards Chosen PIO's Premier Player Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 Ron Edwards of the Jasper Cougars proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Pioneer League Outstanding Hitter Award. Edwards hit for a .340 average while collecting 186 hits, 42 doubles, no triples, 12 home runs, 96 RBIs and scoring 96 times. Arnold Harmon of the Colorado Commanders finished second in voting, while Glenn Vadnais of the Seattle Rainiers finished third. |
