PIO Gives #1 Pitcher Award Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 The Jasper clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Millard Curtis will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2024 Pioneer League Outstanding Pitcher Award. Curtis made 21 starts this year, winning 8 and losing 3. He threw 122.1 innings, fanned 153, allowed 98 hits and 21 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .218 average as he logged an impressive 1.99 ERA. Ray Johnston of the Eau Claire Esquires finished second in voting, while Tsugahara Suzuki of the Jasper Cougars finished third. |
