Harmon Hitless, Stopped by Rainiers
Thursday, September 19th, 2024
The Seattle Rainiers did something to Arnold Harmon no team had done for the last 23 games -- they held him hitless and stopped his consecutive-game hitting streak. But they didn't stop the Commanders. Colorado came away with a 8-1 victory at The Royal Gorge.
Commenting on the demise of the streak, the 21-year-old third baseman told BNN, "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever, but it was a good ride while it lasted."
So far this season Harmon is batting .312 with 17 home runs, 70 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He has 143 hits in 459 at-bats, 37 walks and a .364 OBP. Harmon has played in 110 games.
