Career-Ending Injury for Phil Shaw Saturday, August 17th, 2024 An injury, a concussion, has put an early end to the baseball career of Nashua's 18-year-old right fielder Phil Shaw. He was injured in yesterday's game against the Kenosha Kingfish while making a defensive play. Team doctors reported today that the injury is so severe that Shaw will not be able to continue playing and will have to retire from the game. For the year Shaw is batting .208 with 1 home run, 1 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
