5-Hit Blitz by Weber Saturday, July 6th, 2024 It was a good day all around. Scottsdale whipped Nashua 16-4 and Pete Weber displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Redleg Field. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Pete is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." The 22-year-old third baseman for the Scorpions collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book. Pete Weber hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. For the year Weber is batting .380 with 10 home runs. |
