Marshall Belts 5 Hits Friday, May 31st, 2024 Shawn Marshall had an answer for everything the Nashua Redlegs threw him today in the Savannah 28-2 triumph at Dean Dome. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Savannah second baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Marshall said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Shawn Marshall hit a two-run single in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far in 2024 Marshall is batting .302 with 1 home run, 29 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 51 hits in 169 at-bats and a .403 OBP. |
