5-Hit Blitz by Wilson
Monday, April 15th, 2024
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Lyle Wilson of the Beaverton Bronze Souls. He tore up the Kenosha Kingfish to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the Beaverton 16-5 win today at Ballpark of Huntington Beach. "Wilson was a tough out today," the Kenosha manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Lyle Wilson hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
For the season Wilson is hitting .273, batted in 12 runs with 4 home runs and 12 runs scored.
