Walton Picks up APL Monthly Pitching Honor Sunday, September 1st, 2024 The Athens Assassins bullpen was superb in August -- and Michael Walton was a big reason for that success. He was named the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Month today. He picked up no saves in no save opportunities and had 42 strikeouts in 34.2 innings. Walton racked up 4 wins and no losses.
