Costello 5-for-5 for Bemidji Friday, August 16th, 2024 It was a sensational day at the plate for Juan Costello as he led the charge to a 9-6 win over the Death Stars. The Bemidji second baseman was pure misery for the Minnesota pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Death Stars told BNN reporters after the game, "Costello put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Juan Costello singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 5th and tripled in the 7th. Costello is hitting .289 in 2024 with 55 RBIs and 6 home runs. |
