Bullpen Ace Wins Best MSL Pitcher Saturday, June 1st, 2024 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Manny Silva, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Barry's Bay Orioles reliever, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .164 average and walked away with the Midwest League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Silva posted a 7-0 mark and a 1.28 ERA in no relief appearances. In 42.1 innings, he had no saves, 54 strikeouts, and 15 walks. So far this season Silva has picked up no saves in no relief appearances. He has also compiled a 9-2 won-lost mark with a 2.15 ERA and fanned 92 batters in 79.2 innings. |
