Eagles Reliever McGuire Injured Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 The Eagles received bad news this morning. Stu McGuire will miss 12 months due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the Plumstead-Lee's Summit game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," McGuire sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." So far this year McGuire has been credited with no saves, registered a 7.28 ERA and struck out 38 in 29.2 innings. He also has a 1-1 record. |
