Meatheads Reliever Johnston Hurt
Monday, August 19th, 2024
"I'm frustrated right now," said Manhatten reliever Matt Johnston. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Meatheads, that's where he will be spending 4-5 months. Johnston suffered a sore shoulder in today's game against Columbia while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
This season Johnston has earned 1 saves, tossed 113.2 innings, made 41 relief appearances, fanned 111 hitters and posted an ERA of 4.67. Teams are hitting .298 against him.
