Reyes Strokes 5 Hits Sunday, August 4th, 2024 It seemed that Butler shortstop Juan Reyes could do no wrong as the White Sox kayoed the Bulldogs 6-2 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Newark pitchers couldn't get him out as Reyes seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the White Sox were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Newark fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Reyes in the postgame press interview. Juan Reyes singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Thus far this year Reyes is batting .348 with no home runs, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
