Hit Parade: Osorio Pops 5 Hits Sunday, May 19th, 2024 Springfield right fielder Edgardo Osorio put on quite a show at Winter Island Park with a big 5-hit day in the 6-3 victory over the Mt Pleasant Bearcats. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 5.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Edgardo Osorio singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. In his stats this season, Osorio has posted a batting average of .273 with 21 hits in 77 at-bats, 5 home runs and 13 RBIs. He has also scored 13 runs, walked 8 times and compiled a .356 OBP. |
