Newark's Bass Winner, ESL Best Hitter in August Sunday, September 1st, 2024 Rob Bass has a lot going for him. The Newark first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Eastern League has just picked him as its top hitter for August. In 28 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .364 with 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and 29 runs scored. Bass is hitting .300 this year with 32 home runs, 112 RBIs and 107 runs scored. He has 158 hits in 526 at-bats, 98 walks and a .411 on-base percentage. Bass has played in 142 games. |
