Green Belts Bunch of Base Hits Saturday, September 7th, 2024 Memphis left fielder Artie Green put on quite a show at The Guido Ghetto with a big 5-hit day in the 18-8 victory over the Gainesville Guidos. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 6.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Artie Green hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Green is currently hitting at a .333 pace with no home runs, 5 RBIs and has scored 3 times. |
