Baldwin Fires Shutout in Border Guards Win

The Balzac Rams struggled at the plate today against Border Guards hurler Bud Baldwin, who shackled them on 5 hits while hurling a complete game 4-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Rams skipper in his postgame comments.
"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Baldwin finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Bud made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
This season Baldwin has a 9-4 mark in 19 starts with a 2.31 ERA. He has given up 83 hits in 120.2 innings, struck out 111 and issued 60 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .193 batting average against him.
