Jim Jensen Chosen NWL's Best Player Thursday, October 17th, 2024 Jim Jensen took Northwest League by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 23. For his spectacular campaign, the Bismark Border Guards star has been named the 2024 Northwest League Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the second baseman. On the season he compiled a .330 batting average to go with a .476 on-base percentage. The native of Houston, Texas also added 32 doubles, 2 triples, 23 home runs, 106 RBIs and 115 runs scored. Stan Bates of the Culver City Extras finished second in voting, while Larry Howard of the Culver City Extras finished third. |
