Walker Triumphs in Outstanding Pitcher Award Voting Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2024 has been presented and the Northwest League winner is Jack Walker of Riverside. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Walker. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Red Bulls star told reporters. Walker excelled with an impressive 14-7 record in 33 starts. In 205.2 innings he yielded 163 hits and 47 walks, while striking out 249 and compiling a fine 2.76 ERA. John Lawson of the San Diego Smashers finished second in voting, while Francisco Noguera of the Riverside Red Bulls finished third. |
