Bismark's Holt Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Monday, August 19th, 2024 It was a good day for the Border Guards at Lumberjack Park as they clipped the La Crosse Loggers 14-7. It was tremendous day for Aaron Holt, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 7 barrage. The Bismark shortstop told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well." Aaron Holt doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. In the current season, Holt has put up a .200 batting average with 49 hits, 3 home runs, 22 RBI and scored 34 runs. |
