López Earns NWL Player of the Week Monday, August 14th, 2023 José López burst onto the Northwest League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie catcher for Red Deer garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 27-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .481 (13-for-27) with 1 home run and 3 RBIs last week. This year López is hitting .297, produced 54 RBIs and 11 home runs, scored 63 times and gotten on base at a .374 rate. |
