Guerra's Hit Streak Over Friday, May 24th, 2024 Gold Souls catcher Claudio Guerra went 0-for-4 today in Gresham's 5-3 triumph over the Calgary Cowboys, snapping his 20-game hitting streak. Guerra spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later." When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. The Cowboys manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here." Guerra is currently batting .382 with 14 home runs and 51 RBIs. |
