Houston Batters Redwood City for 5 Hits Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 Bill Houston was on fire today and the Mile High third baseman was a tough out, but it was all in vain as the Broncos fell 11-10 to the Redwoods. For the game he went 5 for 6 against Redwood City in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in. We just didn't get enough hits at the right time." Bill Houston grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ron Williams in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a solo-shot off Júlio Juárez in the 10th and singled in the 12th. So far this season Houston is hitting .243 with 3 home runs. |
