Spokane Narrowly Wins Pacific Coast League North
Monday, September 23rd, 2024
Mike Pierce said it takes "a lot of dedication and sacrifice" to win a division title. That's why he and his Spokane Trappers teammates were so excited to celebrate their Pacific Coast League North championship today.
"It's been a team effort all year long," he said. "You don't get to this point without the guys in the room believing in what we're doing."
That belief has paced the club to a 84-78 record on the season. It is the club's 8th Pacific Coast League North championship and puts them in position for their 5th Pacific Coast League championship.
"It's a pretty talented bunch in that room," manager Alberto Franco said pointing to his celebrating players. "I wouldn't bet against us."
