Castillo Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 Paco Castillo really did a number on the Stars in the Indiana 6-2 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Paco Castillo did just that today for the Hounds and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 24-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance. Paco Castillo doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Juan Aguilar in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Castillo is currently batting .318 with 3 home runs, 23 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 67 hits in 211 at-bats. |
