Rico Sensational, 5-for-5 Friday, August 30th, 2024 Juan Rico put on a hitting clinic today as the Clams dumped the Tornados 8-1 at Tornado Alley. The Cape Cod second baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Topeka pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Juan Rico singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Martínez in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. To date this season Rico is hitting .331 with 8 home runs. |
