Valentín Bewilders Rockets Sunday, August 11th, 2024 Luis Valentín effectively shut down the Rockets today, blanking them 4-0 on 2 hits, ringing up 6 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. The Rebels pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Valentín said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Rockets skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." So far this year Valentín has compiled a 9-8 record with a 3.91 ERA. |
