Vista Sends Parra to Baffin Island Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 The Vista Panthers and Baffin Island Beavers have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Vista will part with 29-year-old LHP Manuel Parra, while the Beavers have dealt 19-year-old minor league SS Joe Baker. "This one took a while to figure out," said the Vista general manager. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." Parra has gone to the hill for 38 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 3-1 record with a 3.03 ERA. The Baffin Island reliever has limited opposing batters to a .278 batting average. |
