Valdéz Named Top Reliever for NL Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 José Valdéz of the Los Angeles Bruins said he never set out to win the National League Reliever of the Year Award this season, but he'll certainly take it. "2024 was a pretty good year for me, that much is obvious," he said. "This is icing on the cake." The 27-year-old out of Lenexa, Kansas fashioned a 1.08 ERA this season over 108.1 innings of work. He made 75 relief appearances and had 6 saves, 124 strikeouts, 26 walks and a record of 10 wins and 3 losses. Esteban Juárez of the Niagara Falls Frenzy finished second in voting, while Manny Sandoval of the Baffin Island Beavers finished third. |
