BSA Championship to Sheens

A celebratory mood filled the air as the St Charles Sheens closed out the season with a 6-2 victory over the Baffin Island Beavers at Beaver Dam to capture the BSA Championship, 4-2.
It was a hard-fought series, but in the end there was no denying the team of destiny their rightful spot as Baseball Stars Association champions.
"We felt like this was our year all season long," said Alfredo Rivera. "It was our destiny to win it and we did."
The Baffin Island manager was somewhat dejected, but gave credit where it's due.
"They're the champions and they deserve it. We played good ball, they just played better than us," he said.
The Sheens clubhouse was like a playground as teammates exchanged high five's, sang and shouted out their joy.
It was the 1st in franchise history. During the Continental League Western Division regular season St Charles put up a 101-61 record and finished first.
