Baffin Island Takes Divisional Round in Deciding Game Friday, October 18th, 2024 There certainly wasn't much between the Baffin Island Beavers and Los Angeles Bruins in this year's Divisional Round. In the end, it was the Beavers advancing to the League Championship with a 13-2 win at Staples Field, to cap off a thrilling 4-3 series win. Thomas Heath took a short break from dousing his victorious teammates with champagne to tell local reporters that "winning a series in the last game makes it all the more sweet." For the series, Heath's performance no doubt made things even sweeter. He had a 0.00 ERA over 1.2 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record. The Baffin Island Beavers will play against the Niagara Falls Frenzy in the next round. Niagara Falls won their series against the New Orleans Looters 4 games to 2. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes. |
