Marty Burgess Hurt, Out 4 Months Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 Marty Burgess at first refused to leave today's San Francisco-Los Cabos game after he suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Los Cabos starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Burgess out of action for 4 months.
