Injury Ends Career of Dave Williams Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 The Madison Bombers were jolted today by some terrible news -- Dave Williams's baseball career has come to an end as the result of a torn labrum. The club's GM told reporters, "We were all stunned. Injuries are a part of the game, but you never get used to this kind of devastating news." The Bombers right fielder was injured today making a defensive play in a game against the Chicago Machine. For the season Williams has produced 93 hits in 418 at-bats for a .222 average with 18 home runs and gotten on base at a .292 clip. |
