National League Names Rookie of Month Sunday, September 1st, 2024 Lonnie Anderson's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young New York second baseman has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In August he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .292 with 7 doubles, 2 triples and 3 home runs. Anderson also scored 15 times and drove in 11 runs. In 54 games this season Anderson has compiled a .267 batting average with 56 hits and 5 home runs. He has also scored 25 times and knocked in 23 runs. |
