Tavárez Gets 6 Hits Sunday, August 25th, 2024 At Nassau Grounds Tony Tavárez was the King of Swing today in the 20-4 win over the Rockets. The Irvine center fielder stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Nassau and delivered 6 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He told the press, "Unbelievable feeling. It felt good. 6 for 6! It does wonders for your batting average, too." Tony Tavárez singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this year in 91 games Tavárez is hitting .295 with no home runs, 29 RBIs and 42 runs scored. |
