Bishop Gorman HS Pitching Ravaged by Poole Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 It was a sensational day at the plate for Denny Poole as he led the charge to a 21-20 win over the Bishop Gorman HS. The Maris School first baseman was pure misery for the Bishop Gorman HS pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Bishop Gorman HS told BNN reporters after the game, "Poole put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Denny Poole grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Alfonso Cardenas in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Currently Poole is batting .356 with 8 home runs and 28 RBIs. |
