Davis Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Monday, April 24th, 2023 Holden Davis of the Evans HS Knights just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting catcher went 2-for-3 in his team's 7-5 victory over the Dublin Jerome HS Celtics at Leafs Ballpark and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Celtics pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway." When asked about his performance, Davis said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Holden Davis walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Enrique Bernal in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Presently Davis is batting .307 with 27 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 11 runs and scored 14 times. |
