5-for-6 Game for Lewis Friday, April 7th, 2023 Today the Eagles downed the Saints 14-4 as Joe Lewis sprayed hits all over Ballpark of Bethlehem HS in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The Rocky Point HS second baseman said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Joe Lewis hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Ortíz in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Lewis has collected a .400 batting average to date with 12 hits in 30 at-bats, 9 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 10 times. He has played in 7 games. |
