Yánez Gets PIO Batter of the Month Trophy Thursday, June 1st, 2023 António Yánez made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Pioneer League this past month. The Saskatoon Smokin' Guns shortstop shone through the month of May and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 24-year-old hit .359 with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and 25 runs scored. Yánez is currently hitting at a .280 pace with 15 home runs and 44 RBIs. |
