Week's Top Player: Surrey's Figueroa Monday, May 1st, 2023 Júlio Figueroa is respected by most Surrey Sinners fans for his no-frills style of play. The 22-year-old catcher went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Pioneer League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .529 average (9-for-17) with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This season Figueroa has banged out 23 hits in 69 at-bats for a .333 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .459 pace and his totals also include 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored. |
