PIO Announces Top Player Award Thursday, October 26th, 2023 António Yánez of the Saskatoon Smokin' Guns had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2023. The 25-year-old shortstop put up a .246 average and a .405 on-base percentage, piling up 129 hits, 27 doubles, 3 triples, 24 home runs, 90 RBIs and 94 runs scored. Pepe Piña of the Salem Sledgehammers finished second in voting, while Michael Cook of the Eau Claire Esquires finished third. |
