2023 PIO Outstanding Pitcher Award Chosen Wednesday, October 25th, 2023 A spectacular season out of the Sledgehammers bullpen earned Nick Johnson the Outstanding Pitcher Award in the Pioneer League. In 132.1 innings, Johnson struck out 170, walked 59 and allowed just 79 hits, while holding the opposition to a .171 average. He saved 5 out of 31 save opportunities, compiled a 18-3 record, and had a 1.56 ERA. Wayne Walker of the Chula Vista Tacos finished second in voting, while Ignacio Beltrán of the Eau Claire Esquires finished third. |
